Wessex Quiltmakers
Wessex Quiltmakers is a friendly patchwork and quilting group, founded in 1978. We meet twice a month in term-time, at St Mark's Church Hall, Oliver's Battery Road South, Winchester SO22 4EZ. Visitors are always welcome (for which we make a small charge), and some enjoy their visits so much that they decide to become members! Please click below for information about our current programme.
WQ Programme September - December 2011
As well as our regular meetings, we have workshops and outings. Last year we visited the Victoria and Albert museum's exhibition of historical quilts. Within the past year we have run workshops with Lisa Walton from Australia and Sheena Norquay, as well as in-house workshops.
If you are interested in finding out more, do come along to one of our meetings or for further information get in touch with us via the 'Contact Us' page.

Our next exhibition will be held in Winchester on 3rd and 4th August 2012. See navigation page on the left for more information.
The photograph below shows the wall hanging "Fire Dance". This quilt was made by a group of 6 of our members who each contributed a panel. It was awarded "Highly Commended" at the Festival of Quilts in August of this year.
