Wessex Quiltmakers

Welcome to our new website, which was launched in June 2008.  Still under development at the moment, we plan to grow it over time as a resource for both members and visitors.

Wessex Quiltmakers is a friendly local patchwork and quilting group, founded in 1978.  We currently meet at Littleton, near Winchester.   For information about the dates and times of our meetings, please visit the Contacts section of the site.

2008 is a memorable year for us.  In January, we were proud to unveil our latest major project, a wall hanging specially commissioned by Peter Symonds College in Winchester to celebrate their 400th anniversary.  The  photograph below shows the central panel of the wallhanging.  Click here to learn more about this prestigious commission.

On 22nd October, Wessex Quiltmakers celebrated the group's 30th anniversary with a party attended by several founder members.  (Please see the e-cards section of the site)
